Rating
A defensive card that spends 1 diamond for 0-cost 7-10 Block. Being 0-cost is key — you get defense without consuming Energy. It's awkward when diamonds are tight, but on diamond-flush turns it's extremely efficient Block.
Combined with Starchild (Block on diamond spend), one cast yields 7+2=9 Block (upgraded 10+2=12). Block value is slightly below Particle Barrier, but Star Cloak distinguishes itself by being a one-shot that doesn't return to hand.
How to Use
- Play it when diamonds are in surplus — Energy efficiency is maximized
- With Starchild installed, the diamond spend also grants bonus Block
- Combined with Black Hole, you attack while defending since diamond spend deals AoE damage
Synergies
- Starchild: Diamond spend grants Block. Star Cloak picks up extra Block automatically
- Black Hole: Diamond spend deals AoE, so defense plays bring damage with them
- Particle Barrier: Same diamond-spend Block category, but Particle Barrier returns to hand. Run both for rock-solid defense
- Hidden Hoard: Rich diamond supply makes Star Cloak playable every turn
